MEETING ON TRADITIONAL MUSIC
Four days of immersion in the sounds of tradition: seminars, ensemble workshops, and spontaneous concerts will enliven the historic center of Alatri for the second "Meeting on Traditional Music."
This event is open to musicians, scholars, and enthusiasts to explore oral musical traditions and share experiences of listening, learning, and collective creation.
Each morning will be dedicated to seminars, with presentations by experts, researchers, and musicians, exploring the historical, ethnomusicological, and stylistic aspects of these sound traditions.
In the afternoon, ensemble classes will offer the opportunity to work in groups, under the guidance of expert musicians, with the goal of building a shared repertoire to be performed at the end of the meeting.
This event combines dissemination and practice, tradition and participation, to breathe new life into a living and ever-changing musical heritage.
