BIOGRAPHY
The band I Trillanti is a group of musicians from Lazio born in 2013 with the mission of living the power of sharing and generating of the music of oral tradition. Immediately in contact with the great research work carried out in their country and throughout the province of Rome, they find a way to give back to the public the popular matrix consciously regenerated.
They draw inspiration from the melisms of the singing peasants, from the endless orbits marked by the saltarello dance, but also from the stories of the shepherds, to arrange and compose new melodies that fit into the identity of their territory, digging with bare hands in the earth where they are "singing trees" that support new musical gems.
THE CONCERT
Tradition 2.0 wants to keep unchanged the primary functions of popular music: to make people laugh, tell stories, intrigue, thrill, share. The research journey from the Centre to the South of Italy makes us discover dance parties and rare folk rites, which the group tries to propose in its own way in concert. Their sound recalls the places and landscapes of Ciociaria, the band’s native land, transforming the old codes, symbols and ancient instruments of the oral tradition into new musical rites, looking at the current language of world music.
